I design quiet systems that feel inevitableidentity, typography and motion composed with the restraint of an editor and the eye of an artist.

Designer & Art Director — Kyiv, 2026

I'm Oleksandra Kushnir — a designer and art director working between Kyiv and Milan. For more than a decade I've shaped visual languages for fashion houses, cultural institutions and founders who prefer restraint to noise.

My practice is deliberately small and personally led — from the first pencil line to the final pixel — so nothing is diluted on its way into the world. I care most about the details others skip: the weight of a serif, the temperature of a neutral, the pause before a transition.

An identity that whispers

The task — reposition a heritage fashion house for a younger, quieter luxury audience without losing its archive. The idea — a modular serif system paired with soft motion and warm paper tones, letting the garments do the shouting. The result is a wordmark that flexes from embossed leather to full-bleed film.

A museum without walls

The task — a digital home for a roaming culture platform. The idea — a WebGL canvas where each exhibition dissolves into the next through image distortion and scroll-driven storytelling, so browsing feels like walking a gallery. Built for performance first, spectacle second.

The weight of scent

The task — a debut fragrance line needing shelf presence and story. The idea — tactile sand-toned packaging, blind-embossed marks and a naming system drawn from weather. Photography and unboxing motion complete a world that feels collected, not bought.

( 05 ) — How it happens
01
Listen

Immersion & discovery

Every project starts in silence — reading the archive, the market and the room, until the real problem surfaces. No moodboards before understanding.

Frame

Strategy & concept

A single organising idea. One sentence that every later decision can be measured against. This is where the taste lives.

Shape

Design & craft

Type, colour, motion and image, refined obsessively. I work in high fidelity early, because the details are the design.

Build

Production & handover

Guidelines, files and code that let the work survive contact with reality — and a team that can carry it forward.
